Hmmh...strange that I have my own website but never actually blogged before...this is my first blog entry ever...still not exactly sure what this phenomenon of blogging is all about...but if I don't try it out how will I know?

Haha...anyway I am now joining the august ranks of our pioneer bloggers Nick, Guangyu and Stephen in blogging on our very own bpmentoring blog...I certainly hope that more mentors will join in soon...it definitely adds variety and interest if we have many more different voices on this blog :)

right now I don't have anything particularly interesting to say...just some useless nonsensical ramblings...so before I bore someone to death I think I shall end here first...Hopefully my next entry will prove more fascinating with some interesting pictures of the upcoming 11th anniversary...so that's it for now.

Yay! I have the inspiration to blog today. Haha!

Mentoring session at GMPS today was on the whole okay la. At first, we were quite shocked when only 3 mentees(Kai wee, Jin yuan and Jian yong aka xiao pang) turned up. The question going through our heads at that time was "where are the rest??" It turned out that "the rest" were all late for no valid reason, other than Yicheng. They started coming in at around 1030 and Liang Qiao was extremely pissed with them. Liang Qiao looks very funny when he is angry... just like Weiming. Wahaha! Anyway that's a bit out of point la.

Oh yah! I realised that my English really sucks. I didn't even know the meanings of some idioms from the PRIMARY school english assessment book -_-" Heh. "Penny wise, Pound foolish" Wa kaoz... that is so cheam lor.

Game for today's session was soccer. Jian sheng and Kai wee had a dispute over the game after Jian sheng's team lost. Hope they will get over it by the next session.

Oh oh... at the end of the session, the GMPS mentors also discussed what orientation games to play with the new mentors next week. We are going to play the husband and wife game. Yay! It's going to be fun... and tiring =P

Nick and I then travelled all the way to nus for Paul Yuen's workshop. Haha. But I managed to stay for only 20mins of the workshop coz I received the stupid call and I had to go defend my nation... so wei da rite? Haha!

Our banner for our 11th Anniversary was done within half a day and I am so so proud of all who contributed and these include Nick, Naseera, Jan, Yulong and Tedmond.

I tot we will take 1 entire day... but no.... it was done within half a day!!

Nas and I went to buy paint, buckets and food (for the empty stomachs). Nick came with his lappy and 5 chalks. Yulong and Jan came with black cloth and more chalk (1 entire box of chalk.. which we eventually din even touch)

Oh yah.. and poor Jan sat on the black paint and got stained. Luckily, Yulong had super-sized shorts for her. Hmm...

So, here are the 10 steps to make a banner for Dummies:

Step 1:Lay out the black cloth, discuss on what to do and use a measuring tape and take measurements

Step 2:Doodle with the computer and print out the letters for the words

Step 3:Start using chalk to draw on the black cloth

Step 4:Use EYE POWER to help to do the work (when you can't do anything). It helps....

Step 5:Paste the letters on the banner using masking tape

Step 6:Mix the paint with chopsticks and must have the right amount of paint and water(P.S:
Look where you are sitting)

Step 7: Start painting the banner

Step 8: Walalala.... there you go... the banner is complete (more or less)

Step 9: Clear up and wait for it to dry

Step 10: R & R (Time to oinks..)

That's the 10 idiot-proof steps to making a banner!!

Let me add on to what Nick said abt our Mentor Outing.

I tot it was quite fun and I tot that our newly invented ingenious game was just ingenious (can't find a better word).

Instead of dividing ourselves into two groups to play games cos we had 14 people, we decided to incorporate everyone into the games and that was the main aim for the outing anyway. And, I thought we accomplished that cos the aim was to have everyone get together and mix around. (tsk tsk... but the alliance from GMPS very strong manz.. it's GMPS vs the rest... tsk tsk)

Anyway, I thought that our newly invented game by Tedmond (ringleader of GMPS) went smoothly until...

I think the waitress mus have some real trembling pair of hands...so dun bother to enlarge this pic coz it's pretty blurred.

This game is way too intellectual for me haha.

The mentees all think that this is a rabbit...not a garfield.. haha.

Liang Qiao and the singing mentees, with their rendition of "home" by Kit Chan. The mentees had failed in trying to pyscho LiangQiao to let them play with his Laptop. In fact, when they couldn't get what they want, they storm out of the class, refuse to practise in the song singing...

Sean cultivating his greatest patience ever for Jianyong(hunter) and Jingyuan (another monster kid) It was one real strenuous task just to get these J-boys(Jianyong and Jinyuan) to settle down and do their work.

Vivien with Yicheng.... Vivien sure has her own ways of interacting with the mentees. Kudos!

The birthday celebration! Mischief is written all over on Jinyuan's face.

Tadmond and the obedient Ridhwan. Sometimes a bit TOO obedient. =)
